The Breville PT47 two slot four slice silver and stainless steel toaster is a sleek and smart addition to any kitchen boasting a number of helpful features. It has variable browning control which allows you to choose how dark or light you like your toast and variable width slots allowing breads of various thicknesses to be fully toasted. So whether it's a small slice or something a bit bulkier--all sizes are properly accommodated. Features include a reheat button which brings cooled toast back up to temperature without burning it; a defrost button which automatically lengthens the toasting time to allow for the defrosting of frozen bread and a mid-cycle cancel button allowing you to stop the toasting process as and when you want to. Remove smaller items without burning your fingers thanks to the extra-high lift which raises the bread carriage for easier access. And keep crumb mess to a minimum with the removable crumb tray which collects any crumbs that may fall from the bread as you toast it. The PT47 is also fitted with illuminated blue buttons for easy use, LED toast progress illumination so you can see at a glance how much longer the toasting cycle will last, cord storage and a non-slip base.

OK Its cheap, but if you don't like your toast burnt on one side and raw on the other, avoid its useless
Also the raise option is pathetic if its not full size toast prepare to burn your fingers.
This is the 1st negative review I have ever given, but after 2 weeks the toaster was in the bin

After using this toaster for three weeks I have to say that I am totally disappointed with it. Despite reading and following the instruction booklet the toast remains brown at the top and pale at the bottom. Also the raise handle is not sufficient to lift the toast out of the toast without burning your hands. I am writing to Breville customer service to let them know of my disappointment.

I saw the negative reviews for this toaster and thought I'd write a quick one just to say that, although I didn't order it from Amazon (it was a gift) I haven't found any problem with it at all. It's lovely and big so 4 slices is no problem (standard sliced bread, if it's a whole loaf you're slicing yourself I found they are odd shaped and just did 2 at once) and I have found it toasts evenly every time.
If I'm using those toasting bag things for sandwiches it does toast more on one side, but that's only because the bag is so big it's practically touching the sides, easily solved by lowering the toast time and turning it around and toasting again. And really, if you're toasting a sandwich in there you would do this anyway to make sure the filling is nice and melted inside.
Other than that it looks super sleek, and the 5 blue lights that count down which are invisible until actually toasting are just plain cool. Very cylon chic, hence its nickname 'space toaster'.
