I have tried other filter kettles in the past but they have never come up to scratch. I find them complicated to use or with too small a water capacity for my family of four. This product is as easy and fast to use as an ordinary kettle, it actually filters and boils the water at the same time! It also takes enough water for almost everything I do. Best of all though is that this it the first filter kettle I have seen in stainless steel. I looks amazing and really compliments my kitchen.

Having had a Brita water filter in the fridge for some years I am no stranger to better water. The problem we had was kids filling the kettle from the tap thereby chalking up the element so when our old kettle decided to leak all its contents over the kitchen unit we looked for something different and this semed to be the answer to our prayers. It lights up the kitchen nicely, boils quickly and still produces a fresh clear drink. On the downside it is heavy, takes an age to auto off and the filters are expensive and dont last as long as the fridge filter ones do. So, do the maths and have a good long think before purchasing this item - it may be better to do as we used to do and have "seperates"

Bought this kettle a few weeks back largely on the strength of the reviews below.

Stylish it certainly is, but we're really not convinced our tea, coffee etc tastes any better than that made with our previous kettle - and we live in a hard water area.

The one thing that isn't clear when you buy it is that you're supposed to change the BRITA filter every four weeks (there's a handy indicator on the top of the kettle to remind you). Given that these replacement filters cost about £8 a pair (we bought ours from Argos as they're not available on Amazon), the kettle works out quite expensive.

A better (and cheaper) alternative might be to buy an ordinary BRITA water filter that you'd keep in the fridge and fill the kettle up from that. The filters are certainly cheaper and, hey presto, you've got filtered drinking water!
