My Aunt bought two of these kettles, one for me, the other for herself. That was 2 months ago, and within three weeks both were leaking. To the extent that the work surface was a pool of water.
I wouldn't have another.

This kettle is good while it lasts!
A nice design, boils fast and looks nice. However I bought kettle Mar 05 Lasted a couple of months then the element went. Breville were very good and replaced the item (£5 postage cost) Just over 12 months later (April 06)the kettle is leaking water from the bottom and not safe to use. A shame I will not buy another.

I have had my kettle for a couple of years now but it is also leaking like the other reviews say.

I love the illuminated feature and the rapidboil (SO much faster than other kettles) but I am going to try to buy an updated version of this kettle and hope they've fixed the problem...
