The Breville Lightning Kettle's unique 'Keep Warm' feature makes it ideal for busy family breakfasts, or when cooking. When the boil and 'Keep Warm' facility is used, the kettle water chamber illuminates and red LED lights in the kettle base pulsate. Water is rapidly brought to the boil during this process and then gently simmers until fresh boiling water is needed, when it will boil again in seconds.
The contemporary design of the Lightning Kettle and its easy view water window which illuminates during boiling, add a dramatic touch to this stylish kettle, with static red LED indicators illuminated in the kettle base during boiling, adding to the kettle's appeal.
The Lightning kettle boasts many other advanced features to make it an impressive addition to any kitchen. We recently bought this kettle after a couple of years of a stainless steel top of the range De Longhi kettle. That one was noisy and slow, and difficult to fill. It was also hard for our daughter to lift the lid! This kettle has been a revelation to us. It is attractive to look at, easy to fill, and boils quickly. It has a see-through part to easy spot the water level - and is also internally illuminated with a soft blue light. There are red lights around the exterior to show when it is switched on to boil. An added feature of the kettle is a 'keep warm' button - upon selection, it will keep the water temperature at 77c until switched off again. It is easy to clean and maintain. I highly recommend it.

It all boils down to.....,

When I first saw the details of this kettle I thought why on earth would anyone want (or need) a kettle that had flashing lights (unless they had hearing or vision problems of course).A kettle's just a kettle right? But I thought I would trust the previous reviewers opinions, and get one for myself as i wanted a fast boiling kettle with a filter. This kettle ticks all the right boxes - even though I have to admit it had me reminiscent of one of those boy racer cars with the blus lights underneath when I first switched it on! The main points are: it has a large capapcity, boils the water very quickly, has a flat element that makes cleaning inside very easy, is very easy to fill - and the clear part is great for seeing into the unit, and unlike another reviewer, I find it much quieter than my previous kettles.

this is the best kettle i have ever owned it boils quick then can keep warm with its keep warm button the best bit though has to be how it looks in the dark when its boiling
