The rise and fall basket means oil drains easily from the food so there's no unwanted greasy residue and you can keep an eye on your food's progress with the viewing window in the fryer's lid. Like the non-stick bowl, the lid is removable to help with the post fry-up clean-up and is fitted with safety locking. Other safety features include the non-slip feet and cool-touch body so there's no fear of burning your hands when touching the unit. The fryer has cord storage to keep your kitchen worktop fuss-free.

excellent seller, excellent item.
it looks small but easily holds enough chips for me and my girlfriend, heats up quickly, the ability to raise the basket without opening the lid is also a good thing.
the viewing window does steam up instantly if you use frozen food in there tho and the timer isnt really viewable without bending if youre 6 foot plus as i am.

When scanning through various similar products thought this would be the one but would have liked to see it in a store i.e. for the size of the basket etc. Most we have looked at, the basket was very small and when cooking for family not suitable so was rather sceptical. Well as I needed it for Xmas decided this would be ok even if we had to do two cooks for quantity required. Delivered in time and yes was right the basket looked small but when used really pleased. The size is very deceiving, cooked to perfection and ample big enough did not need to cook two seperate loads and I would definitely recommend this product.

No complaints with Amazons service and delivery. Superb as usual! A little disappointed with the Brevile Fryer, for the following reason. If you fill the oil to near the maximum level, when you lower the chips in, the oil overflows and runs down both sides and also goes under the bowl, to where the element is. What a mess! I always dry the chips well before putting them in the basket and I always lower the basket very slowly into the oil, stopping at intervals. I also do not overfill the basket. My old Morphy Richards (Harry Ramsden) fryer would take double this amount of chips, with no problems. I wish I had bought the same again. I now keep the oil level at the minimum level and only half fill the basket. I also still have to lower the basket extremely carefully. If I hadn't thrown packaging away and left it so long, I suppose I should have returned it.
