After I bought this microscope, I saw a couple of reviews on this site that made me think that I had been a bit rash! However, this microscope arrived exactly on time, and is far better than we expected. A previous review stated that this microscope was a pile of plastic...WRONG! it is metal and a nice weight! A review also stated that none of the equipment in the picture came with the microscope. ..WRONG! the microscope came with several permanent slides and many blank slides, a box of cover slips, several tools (very sharp ones not to be left near children) a shrimp egg hatchery and eggs. The microscope itself magnifys up to 1200x which is amazing compared to others, and has several coloured filters above the light in case you find it easier to see using colours.
All in all, and excellent purchase for the small amount of money it cost.

Very dissapointed when this arrived.a lot of the items shown in the picture are not included in the box
1, You dont get the viewing screen
2, you dont get the peitry dish
3, you dont get the glass vials/jars
4, you dont get the set of 5 sample bottles
and 5, you dont get the extra box of slides
I bought this as a present for a 10 year old and ithought the viewing screen was a good idea,alas not included.
BUYERS BEWARE

I'd advise looking elsewhere, it's a plastic imitation there's no accurate or metal parts, after using for about half an hour at most a bulb has already gone. And the teeth in the moving parts seem to have warn out already. Focusing is near impossible as when you try to adjust the lense the things so badly made it rocks. Terrible, wish I could get my money back

Came with everything shown on box and on time. But it is just too flimsy to get good images. Agree that it rocks quite badly. The cover of the battery compartment is made of pliable plastic and seems to be mis-shapen hence the rocking. Also the stage is only fixed at one point so is subject to movement as well. Both these things mean it is very hard to get decent images. My budding scientist has lost interest now. What a shame.

I am very disappointed with this product the quality of the metal is really cheap, too light weight and took ages to actually get to work with the magnification. I would not recommed this product to anyone.

Exceedingly disappointing, and have returned the product. Impossible to see clearly through the glass, and for my 8 year old grandson a useless article.
