Excellent for family walks, scenic strolls and also for those that want to attempt some of the more advanced Brecon climbs..What I particuliarly liked was the fact that as well as there being small maps of the route plus written directions, they also tell you which Ordinance survey map covers each route with six figure grid references for the start/finish of each walk and also the level of difficulty and ascent. Also a big plus for me as a dog owner is the advice on "Dog friendliness" and that they tell you the number of stiles on route (Try lifting 8st of Bullmastiff over a stile!!) Other useful advice includes Parking toilets and good places to eat or to visit and things of interest to look out for on route ie plants birds etc..
As you can tell I love this book and feel its money well spent..the only way it could be improved would be for it to be spiral bound so that it could be opened up flat and slipped in your map case..
