Product Description

UK two track CD pressing of the first single pulled from the UK chart-toppers sophomore album Breathless. Recorded in Sweden, with super production team Maratone, who have sold over 100 million albums worldwide and worked their magic for Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears amongst others, Breathless perfectly showcases Shayne Wards flawless falsetto and his effortless vocal range. A laid back track that builds in depth and emotion, Breathless is a soulful and heartfelt love song powerfully delivered by Shayne Ward, with total confidence and conviction. Breathless is a solid R&B ballad along the same vein of Ne-Yos So Sick and Ushers Burn. Features Breathless and the non-album Gonna Be Alright. RCA.

i wasnt going to get this album, because i was disapointed with his first album,it was all ballads.but i thought what the heck.anyway glad i did.blown away by this one,i am really enjoying it.full of variety.his voice is very easy to listen to and he tackles different styles really well.
loving the retro 80,s stuff.and the final track Tell Him is a stunner.there are only two tracks that let it down a little, If thats ok with you, which is just weird, and just be good to me.but overall a killer album.

I have never made a review on amazon before but felt i had to for this. This is one of the best albums i have ever heard. Every song on it is class. Usually with albums you always get about 3 or 4 that are total crap, but not this one. If you like No You Hang Up / If that's ok with you, then you will love the album as they are probably the weakest songs on it. It has a real Justin Timberlake sound to it, so if you like him then you will love this. The last song ('Tell Him') in fact, actually sounds as though it is Justin Timberlake?

A phenomenal 2nd album from Shayne - totally wicked! Damaged, Breathless and No U Hang Up are all faves. Just be Good To Me will really take you back to the 80's and Shayne has a great version on here! Go Go Go Shayne!

No one in the US knows Shayne Ward (until I introduce them to him) and everyone loved his first CD. I've been introducing people to "Breathless" and everyone loves it even more! It's a major departure from the first CD and fantastic. I wish Shayne would come to the USA (other than to film his videos). The USA is sorely lacking in solo male singers. What a talent!!

"Breathless" has left me just entirely that way! I am always looking for stunning-voiced male singers and Shayne is one of the most extraordinary that I've ever heard. So many singers just sound the same but Shayne is out of this world and few male singers could hit these delicious high notes, delivered to perfection throughout the album in a soft and satiny tone. He could be around for 50 years because he's got such a great voice. It is a much, much better album than the previous which consisted solely of ballads, and though ballads are very much my scene, I prefer to get a mixture and the dance/R&B stuff on here is truly awesome and he sounds 10 000 times better than most people who do that kind of music because he has a terrific voice, beautiful, and, essentially, adaptable. I am really into Kylie and this has the same delicate sensuality and uplifting warmth. "No U Hang Up" is funky, though the lyrics are slightly daft; "Breathless" has somewhat candy-floss lyrical content but is saved by remarkable vocals with rare warmth and dazzling purity. The lyrics to other tracks though, like "You Make Me Wish", "U Got Me So", "Tangled Up" are hot, sexy, sensual, romantic and almost erotic without being crude or explicit (which I find so crass, so common, it so cheapens songs, mentioning no names...Miss Winehouse, ...Mr. Williams...) All in all this cd is sheer loveliness. I vdo not understand the Justin Timberlake comparisons as I found Justin's cd "Futuresex Lovesounds" deadly boring, repetitive and unnerving. Repeating the same line and the same beat 5000x doesn't make you a pop genius. While I can see Justin has a nice voice (if he'd just get some decent songs he might make a good record) I think that Shayne is a 10 000x better singer and the Americans need to check him out (or miss out). But "Breathless" - takes your breath away. Shayne - a class act who could be around for generations.

This is one of the most beautiful modern ballads I have heard. It stays away from the traditional big note ending, but has rather the most dramatic double falsetto in the middle of the song. He has the most amazing vocal range and his voice never wavers. One can feel the sincerity in his voice. I love this song.

There is no doubt, this is a very good album, far better than his 1st one. The songs are more catchy and tuneful with good lyrics. Shayne ward, if you are reading this, whoever wrote the songs for this album - KEEP THEM for future music you produce. Another album like this in 2008 would be most welcome.
