Faith Hill is a country music superstar but now she is over-crossing to the pop/adult contemporary market. Not only is she an amazing powerful singer she is also very beautiful with a seemingly perfect marriage (alright for some!). Anyway but what's important is that she's not just a pretty face but that her music is of quality, which by this album and other albums it certainly is.
This album starts off with country/rock song, "What's in it for me?" It actually features a fiddle and a steel guitar, this song has sassy lyrics and it a great uplifting song to start off this album. The country/rock theme continues with the next song, "I got my baby" this song has a great melody and i love the way Faith voice sounds in this songs, she's almost rapping! For the third song it is toned down to a more serious sound, "Love is a sweet thing," the music is not as country as the first two but the lyrics are very much country and Faith brings back her twang in fact this song sounds like many of Martina McBride's recent songs.
Then comes the title track "Breathe", it is a beautiful ballad, it was a huge hit over in the US and won her many awards, it starts off with a calm verse then leads into a pulsating chorus, it is simply breathtaking. Then another ballad but this time a duet with her husband Tim McGraw, "Let's make love", this song is beautiful but since it is sung by husband and wife you someimes feel you are intruding on something personal between them but nontheless this is still a great love song and will be remembered by country fans as the same kind of song in the vain of Tammy Wynette and George Jones' duets.

I love Faith Hill to bits and this album clearly shows why. It's like a BREATH of a fresh air on a hot summer day, work of a BREATHtaking beauty, kind of an album every great singer makes once in a career. For Sheryl Crow it was C'mon C'mon, for Shania it was Come on Over, for Faith it definitely was Breathe. After 11 years of listening it's still hard for me to point out any standout tracks on the album, as they all are. However for me the highlights are What's In It For Me, I Got My Baby, Breathe and the gospel influenced closing track There Will Come a Day. Incredible album through and through, the body of work to admire if not to love. Amazing

What can i say - i can't find any flaws with this album. All the songs are fantastic and the wide varity of country, romance and upbeat tunes make it well worth the money.
'If my heart had wings' is by far the best song on the album as it is a v.good sing-a-long-song - for me anyway!
Overall, a great album. Now i can't wait for the next one to be released!

"Breathe" by Faith Hill was released on a CD on the label Warner Bros. in November 1999. There are 13 tracks on this album, and the total running time is about 52 minutes.

Faith Hill was born in 1967; in 1996 she married Tim McGraw, who is sometimes described as the King of Country Music. She has released several albums (studio recordings and compilations).

* Her first album Take Me As I Am was released in 1993.

* Her second album It Matters to Me was released in 1995.

* Her third album Faith was released in 1998.

"Breathe" (which is under review here) is fourth album. Inside the jewel-case there is a booklet with 14 pages including several (highly suggestive) pictures of the artist. Inside the booklet you will find detailed information about the music on the CD. For each track you will find the title, the running time, the names of the composers, the lyrics to the song, and the names of the musicians who played on this particular track. The list of musicians is very long - too long to present it in this review.

If the CD is played on a computer, the titles and the names of the composers will show up on the screen.

Some tracks are slow and soft songs, such as tracks # 3, 5, 6, 8, 11 and 12, while others are faster and have a harder beat, such as tracks # 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 10 and 13. The combination of slow and fast songs makes a good variation.

On track # 5 "Let's Make Love" Tim McGraw sings a duet with his wife.
