Review

"I fell in love with this book; every page is a jewel. It simply 'delivers' what every mother needs--the natural laws to build a breastfeeding relationship. Understanding the first forty days has changed the way I talk to new parents and teach breastfeeding supporters. Finally, here is a book that talks about breastfeeding without all the rules. This book lives in my bag to share with everyone!"
--Carrie Finger, BFA, IBCLC, LCCE, lactation program director at Aviva Institute

What a brilliant book. I would recommend it to all new mums and all pregnant women whether seriously considering breastfeeding or not. It will help you make an informed choice about whether to feed, how long for, how to get the best chance at esctablishing feeding successfully, how to wean down feeds if you choose to stop. What problems you may encounter, the importance of skin-to-skin contact - the list is endless!!!
Fantastic book, I really cannot recommend it enough

i was recommended this by a friend as, 'the only book you need to read before/& when the baby comes!' - there's so much to do and think about when you're preparing for a baby, and every moment seems precious. i didn't want to waste my time trawling through books that were going to make me feel inadequate, guilty, or like having a baby was going to be a nightmare! this book is AMAZING, clear, concise, encouraging, and teaches such valuable principles about a baby's 'hardwiring', so that you understand what helps and hinders them when trying to breast feed. it also gives information on so many other related things - it was a life line, and i've had to lend it out, and chat through the contents to many a breast feeding friend with nothing but positive results. if you want to give breast feeding a go, or have tried in the past and didn't like it, but want to give it a go now, this is a must read. worth every penny.
