Crown of Thorns is another quality AOR/melodic rock group on the Frontiers/Now & Then label. The band, which is led by singer/guitarist/songwriter Jean Beauvier, plays fairly straightforward, not too heavy, melodic rock with a few quirks. To my ears they sound like the offspring of TNT and Enuff Znuff. Their 1996 album features a cover of the Beatles classic Don't Let Me Down.
Breakthrough is a fun album that should go over quite well with AOR fans, particularly at Amazon's relatively low price.
