What a wonderful tale of 1950s Britain. It was a vivid account of a midwife's lot. Heart warming and sad in places it brought the whole scene alive. Well written it keep you coming back for more, time after time. I couldn't put it down

good book! 23 Oct 2011

Very prompt delivery, as always. Enjoyable book. Recommend it to nurses/midwives/health visitors of the 60's era, who worked in the deprived areas.
