Review

Trust me, you won't be able to put Breach of Trust down' James Patterson

'A searing and suspenseful tale of law and murder and long-nurtured revenge ... the best yet' Scott Turow.

'A triumph for Ellis and a sheer pleasure for the reader' David Baldacci.

'A rich and entertaining novel ... Ellis is a superb craftsman' Chicago Tribune.

From the Inside Flap

Attorney Jason Kolarich's key witness from a past criminal case he tried has just been found, murdered. Jason has forced the witness to testify and believes that this led to his murder. Of course he feels responsible, but he's determined to discover the murderer's identity, and see justice done. When the evidence points to an obscure agency in state government, guilt-stricken Jason goes to work for the agency to dig deeper. Before he knows it, he finds himself right in the middle of a high-level conspiracy of fraud and corruption - as well as a covert federal investigation into these crimes. In this riveting thriller Ellis relies on his experience and expertise to deliver a gritty tale of political corruption and murder at the highest levels of government.

Format: Paperback
This is a brilliant book. I am not surprised that David Ellis won the Edgar Allen Poe Award for his first novel. I think this is his sixth book and the quality is superb with no falling off in standards as is common with many authors. It is excellently researched and maintains its quality on every page. It is basically a political/legal thriller but the story line is brilliant, very believable and with plenty of twists. Also the hero is very likeable and the ending is detailed and doesnt leave you hanging in the air. I cannot see how you can fail to like this book and guarantee it is difficult to put down. Well done indeed to David Ellis.

My first Ellis book, but certainly not my last. Maintained my attention throughout, entertained and thrilled. Kolarich is a "real" person with faults and gifts. Well worth a read.
