I purchased this clock about 3 weeks ago, so had chance to use before writing this review. It's a nice looking clock as are all Braun time pieces. I would agree with other users that the build quality falls short of what I'm used to with earlier Braun products owned.
I did have an initial issue with the setting up of the time. I placed on the fire place on the living room and an hour later the clock hadn't automatically set the time. I then moved it to the window and within 10 minutes it worked and the time set correctly. I've read this may have been due to hifi/home cinema equipment disturbing the radio frequency. It does put a doubt in your mind that if you move it to certain parts of the house, the signal may be lost and could alter the time. Having said that, placed on my bedside table, its working fine!
Down to the flaws, which are, of course, only my personal opinions.
How do you know if the battery has failed or failing? There is no indicator provided that brings to your attention the battery is failing. It's a silent clock so no ticking and there's no second hand (Something I believe should be included. Nothing in the instructions and even Zeon confirm this. So unless you notice the nightlight when press isn't as bright or the clock actually stops, you won't know!
The other design fault is the alarm on off switch. This is a rocker motion which doesn't click into place and you know its been set when the green indicator shows. The fault lies in the snooze function which is activated when you press down on the clock. The light comes on and the snooze function sets...but beware, when you press down on the clock, be careful not to press where the on off alarm switch is located. I have on a number of occasion put slight pressure on this switch and although the green indicator still shows, if inadvertently switch off the alarm!!!!
Overall a nice looking clock but could do with a few updates if the manufacturer redesigns.
