I bought this Professional Care 5000 TwinPack to replace a single Braun electric toothbrush that was getting old and failing to hold much battery charge. The new twin set works great, and these brushes do a good job. There is one downside - despite having the same model number as the unit I replaced (Type 4729), these new toothbrushes have a single-colour LED charging light that only glows orange during charging - it doesn't change colour when the unit is fully charged. The old brush had a 2-colour LED that indicated when it was fully charged. This is actually quite annoying, especially since a) it has the same model number and b) a full charge cycle takes 12 hours. Hence I deducted one star from an otherwise good product.

Excellent cleaning and the 2 min timer with 30 second intervals means you spend the right amount of time in each quadrant of your mouth - spookily too the time seems to fly by as a result !
What makes this a great deal is the free second handset which comes in a handy carry case (which is ideal for travelling).
The charging unit is wall mountable (something I specifically wanted but wasn't in the description details) and the integral caddy for the brush heads means they are not left on the sink top. My only comment about the caddy feature is that you have to ensure the brush head (including the shaft and its workings) are clean and as dry as possible before putting them in; otherwise there is potential for residual water and toothpaste to drip inside the caddy - this could be difficult to clean out if it gets in to the lower reaches of the charging unit. This is because the bottom of the caddy is not sealed (presumably to aid drying). The final thing about the charging and caddy unit is that it feels a little bit flimsy when on the wall, but then that said it is not designed to take heavy weights.
Other than these minor points and perhaps an option to have a small portable charging unit for travelling this is a great buy, the cleaning is brilliant and I highly recommend it.

I already have one of these and just ordered two more (twin pack) for my two sons. They do great job, last for a good few days before charging (which is very easy). There's no need to buy anything more expensive.
