I bought this for my 90-year old Mum to save her messing around with refilling the standard hot water bottle.

The adverts don't really give the impression that the actual bottle is about half the size of a conventional HWB, but it certainly works well.

She has been bought many electrical gismos over the years, and most of them don't get used. However, this item has found favour with her and has been well utilised over the winter.

Unfortunatley whether the hot bottle is switched on or not, it has a very unpleasant smell of some sort of substance like rubber/glue. So the clothes / blankets etc that the hot bottle is in contact with, end up smelling the same as the hot bottle.

Also, I have to keep pushing the recharger plug from the stand onto the bottle many times before the 'charge' light comes on.
Infact, if this continues, I will have to contact the supplier and ask for a replacment or refund.

HATE THE SMELL!

Bought this for my permanently freezing wife for her birthday. Money well spent. It only takes 15 minutes to heat up and stays warm (ish) until morning. Highly recommend it for those with cold tours this winter. Also has a hand muff on the front for some pre-bed warmth.

The bottle is heavy - I wonder if older people can use it? Certainly not if they have problems lifting
