    Displeased 3 Dec 2010
I am horrified by how much the postage was for this, disgraceful in fact, they are really tiny. I have used knitting dollies myself and didn't expect the items to be so small. They are a gift for two little friends for Christmas and I can't see how they are ever going to produce anything with these. I wish I had seen other customers review first.

    Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
Bought this as an adult to use and to demonstrte to grandchild.
Product badly made as the centre hole was not completed. I had to finish boring it out. It was also very rough inside, resulting in the wool not passing through without the aid of a bodkin.
The pins are too short. This means that even using the wool supplied, I was unable to put more than one layer of wool on the pins. I put the wool round for the second time to begin to make the stitches, and as I took the lower strand of wool over the top one to make a stitch, both strands fell off. After numerous tries I had to admit defeat. Imagine how frustrating this would be for a child learing this traditional skill. I returned it for a refund and now use a wooden cotton reel!

    The hole is too small
I brought this for my 6 year old daughter but due to the small hole it is really hard to use it and not funny. The provided crochet is in a really fragile plastic.

French knitting. For an older child maybe, say 7 or 8. Found picture of dolls misleading though. Thought I'd get four dolls in four colours.

    Excellent value!
I bought some of these for my Brownies to use. They were much cheaper than others I had seen and were a great hit with the girls.
