Wish I could afford it and the other writings of Joyce Reason. Fond memories of [ at eleven ] as an unreviewable book it is so good.

I too remember reading this book at school in the 50's. It has always stayed with me and was a wonderful book. I certainly couldn't afford to buy it now!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bran the Bronze Smith a review 29 April 2014
Format:Hardcover
I read this book years ago, at school in the 1960's. It has stayed with me. Such powerful story telling, from a gifted writer. There is real depth to Joyce Reason's wonderful tale. I remember there was a whole shelf of this book in the school library. I wish I'd stolen one when I had the chance...it seems to have become a collectors item, and I cannot afford the prices quoted here. If you can afford this book, then buy it...you're in for a real treat!
