Product Description

The Brainwavz Gypsum is a stylish headphone stand that will look good in a home or office setting. The stand can accommodate large or small cup size headphones and wide or narrow headphone bands.

The Gypsum uses 6mm thick plastic giving it a solid and sturdy feel, its shape makes the stand quite stable and able to balance heavy headphones without falling over. All Brainwavz Gypsum stands are hand crafted, as such there maybe slight variations between stands but this does not affect the look of the stand.

This is exceptional for someone looking for a "Bang for buck" headphone stand.

The acrylic doesn't make it look or feel cheap in the slightest. The see through design gives the stand a very modern and non-invasive look where-ever you place it. I've currently got the Gypsum sat on my computer desk next to my tower (Which has white LED illumination from the inside) and it looks nothing shy of spectacular! It also has a few decals etched into the base and neck of the stand, but they don't encroach on the overall look.

For anyone curious, the dimensions of the stand at their largest are; 14cm wide, 12.5cm deep and 25cm tall.

Able to carry very large weights with no toppling, I'm currently using them with a set of Roccat Kave 5.1's and I've had no issue with the stand not being able to balance them.

I had been looking for headphone stand for a little while but most were really too expensive for me but when I saw this for £17 I thought I'd give it a go and I am very pleased I did. I believe it would fit in any home being clear you hardly know it's there, much better than a black one I was considerinng, I can whole hearted recommend this.

A nice and convenient way to display and store your headphones 14 Mar 2014
By M. Erb - Published on Amazon.com
I have several fairly expensive pair of heaphones. They're quite nice looking in addition to being quite nice sounding and when I'm not actually using them, this attractive stand is a great way to display them.

The stand is about 9 3/4" tall, 5 1/2" wide at the base and about 5" deep. It doesn't take up much space and because it is essentially clear plastic, doesn't really conflict with your decor, whatever it mght be.

Your headphone headband merely sits on a small platform. That's it. There is no pressure put on the earcups at all thus you won't develop indentations in the foam inside the pads which could happen if your headphones were just jammed inside a drawer when not in use.

Honestly there is not much else to say about a simple headphone stand. This is attractive in an inobtrusive sort of way and does the job. Just about any headphone should fit on this stand. It's not necessarily the most stable headphone stand but it is simple and attractive and fulfills its purpose quite well..

I was provided a sample for review.

Attractive way to store headphones 9 Nov 2013
By Comdet - Published on Amazon.com
This is a very stylish way to store headphones. It’s all-plastic, but the plastic is very thick and ultra clear, so it looks much like glass. The base is heavy enough that it stays put even if it is jostled quite hard.

To test out its load bearing capacity, I balanced a very thick hardcover book on top that weighs far more than even the heaviest headphones. No problems at all. The stand looks like it was made of a single piece of plastic that was bent and formed, so there's no weak joints to be concerned about (or interfere with the glass-like look).

It does attract fingerprints, so if you want to keep it looking crystal clear you’ll need to keep a polishing cloth at the ready.

I’m using it with a Branwavz HM9 but, since the top holder is flat and does not have a ledge, it would fit pretty much any type of headphones.

Simple product, but well-built and attractively designed.

A well-made stand for an excellent price! 26 April 2014
By Claire Jordan - Published on Amazon.com
I used to have a glass head that I kept my headphones on. It looked great, but I finally realized that it was stretching out the headbands on my cans - not good. I'm a film editor so I need to have my headphones close at hand at all times and I hate having them just tossed across my workspace - I've tried hooks and other ways of managing them, but none look better or work more effectively than this stand. It's clear acrylic so the headphones just sort of float in space, which is cool enough, but it also keeps them up off the desktop and out of my way until I need them. Like all of the Brainwavz products I've seen so far, this stand is really well-designed, it balances the headphones nicely and I've never had a problem with it tipping over.

To the reviewer who thinks that this is not worth the money - I'm assuming that they don't have a substantial investment in their headphones, because if they did the last thing they would want is their valuable and beloved cans lying on a coffee table or desktop where they will get knocked around and perhaps even ruined by a spilled beverage. I do not find the price for this stand to be at all out of line with the quality of the design and construction. And considering this is one of the least expensive stands on the market, I find it to be a terrific value.

One note: if you are deciding between this and an acrylic stand that is "head-shaped" two things to consider: 1) a head-shaped stand may eventually stretch out the head band on your headphones. 2) removing the headphones from the stand will require two hands.

A stylish stand, that offers a great way to store over-the-ear headphones on a desk or next to the stereo 6 April 2014
By Nathan Andersen - Published on Amazon.com
This is a very nice-looking, transparent stand. It's got a triangular base that's broad enough that it won't tip over easily.

It's got a zig-zagged trunk, and a flat mount on top, that you can use to hang your headphones when they're not in use.

It's a handy and stylish-looking alternative to just laying them down on the desk or on top of the stereo.

Not strictly necessary, this is kind of a luxury, but if you have a pair of expensive headphones that you love and want to last a long time, it might not be a bad idea. (I had a chance to try out a sample of these, for the purpose of testing and review.)

Very cool with low profile... 9 Mar 2014
By Dr. Oceanfront - Published on Amazon.com
This is a very stylish, acrylic, almost invisible headphone stand. I really like it, because it is sturdy, but also because it has a low profile. I do not like a lot of things cluttering up my house. :)

The downside on these, is the top of the stand (1.75" across and 1.4 deep) has no groove in it to hold the headphone, so they can easily slide off.

The fact that it might not be stable means that I will not putting my most expensive set of headphones on it.
However, I can use these in an other room and it will work fine.
