Product Description

For Fans Of: Teenage Bottlerocket, Blink 182, Dillinger Four, Mixtapes, Andrew WK, Ramones. "Brainless God" is a 12-song horror story brought to you by some not-so-brainless Milwaukee punks. Direct Hit! (henceforth known as The Four Horsemen of Pop Punk) have been tearing up basements and house gigs with their searing live show for a couple years now, and we knew it was time to include them in the Red Scare ranks. Turns out they had an album already written full of frantic hooks and songs that mock The Almighty? Ummm, yes please! Then we enlisted All-American Rejects guitarist and audio maven Mike Kennerty to ensure these 12 apocalyptic episodes were captured properly on tape. This album came out sounding so good you'd almost think Direct Hit! made a pact with Old Scratch himself. Does that mean we have to pay him royalties too?!? // Key Selling Points: Produced by Mike Kennerty of All-American Rejects. That sumbitch has platinum records! Lotsa touring in 2013: full U.S. and Canada, then Europe. Riot Fest, Gainesville Fest, etc. Tracks : On & On, The World Is Ending (No One Cares), Buried Alive, Getting What He Asked For, White Robes, Heaven Is A Black Hole, We're Fooked, Bank Of Elevators, Back To The Tower, I Told You A Lie, Home To You, A Message To The Angels Pt. II (Brainless God).

Bets album I've ever listened to. 7 Sept. 2013

Especially the last song. A perfect wrap-up for the entire album. Normally I would never use the word "epic" to describe something because it is such an overused word but this album is the one exception. In my opinion this album is worth much more than 9 dollars. Don't think about it just buy this album and you won't regret it.

This entire album- front to back- is great. The songs work just as good by themselves, but they really shine together as a collection.
A different style than previous release but it gets better with each spin. 16 Sept. 2013

Direct Hit is still punk but this release is more old school punk than the expected Direct Hit faster sound. A very good release from a very talented group. Go get it!
Maybe the best pop-punk album of 2013 12 Sept. 2013

This record has energy and hooks for days. It's fast, bouncy, poppy, hard and all over the place in a very good way. Very polished, doesn't have that 'recorded in a basement' feeling that is so hip with the kids these days.
Punk Rock Is Not Dead! 5 Dec. 2014

Format: Audio CD
Direct Hit! is an amazing Punk Rock band that proves that it's not dead. The Vocals are fantastic and I can't get enough of it!
