Brabantia's 30 litre retro pedal bin is a nostalgic and instantly recognisable retro-look bin with a distinctive domed lid--however, the pedal and smooth operation are completely state-of-the-art. The bin features a double hinge construction and smart closing rim to give a virtually noiseless operation. The close-fit rim ensures that no unpleasant smells escape.
Matching Brabantia bin liners are available with tie-tape (size G) for a perfect fit and no ugly over wrap. The bin has a removable plastic inner bucket that is easy to keep clean, with special ventilation holes to allow the bags to be removed easily, preventing a vacuum forming when removing a full bin liner, which can lead to tearing.
The sturdy carry handle allows you to move the bin even when full. Fitted with a non slip foot, the bin does not slide around on wet or polished floors, plus the plastic protective rim helps prevent damage to the flooring. This bin is made of hardwearing corrosion-resistant materials for many years of use.

Was delivered on time, well packaged and looks fine. However I bought this particular bin because it was supposed to have a silent close mechanism. What rubbish (pardon the pun). The lid snapped back with a loud clap. The bin has now been returned (it was picked up the following day and I was refunded promptly).

Love the look of it. I find I can use ordinary bin liners in it too if I'm careful to fold them over the edges. I Usually hold my hand out to catch the top as it opens so that it doesn't crash into the kitchen dresser as it slides over the floor a little each time you push the pedal in. I suppose I could put something on the floor to stop that. Overall, I think it is lovely and trendy.

This 30l PEDAL bin is so simple to use AND to keep clean. My last "soft touch" bin failed to open/close too many times to be counted and the top was a pig to keep clean - crumbs ALWAYS fell into grooves. This is a very pretty bin!! and tesco sell the bags a bit cheaper.Amazon reliable as always.
