I bought this bin because we have been asked by our Local Authority to recycle all kitchen waste. I found bending over to lift the lid of the green plastic bin they provided very irksome (old age and infirmity!); plus, their bin tipped over when empty. This little bin is the right size for the bags they provided. Please note, however, it is not possible to lift up the lid and have it stay open, as with my larger Brabantia pedal bin. That would make it very convenient for peeling vegetables straight into the bin.

I wanted a small bin that would fit in a tight corner in our bathroom and this one proved to be a perfect fit. Not large capacity but perfect for a bathroom. Very pleased.
