I have used a cheap ironing board that was given to me for years until it finally gave up. I decided to invest in a better board considering the hours I spend using it with a husband who needs a smart shirt every day and two children at school, as well as my own work clothes! I wish I had bought this sooner, ironing is a lot less effort as the board is heavier and so doesn't move about when sliding garments on and off. The iron rest is great and holds my iron safely. The design is really nice too, a calming blue with graceful swans. My mother in law was impressed too and she bought one from Amazon after seeing mine.

This board is excellent. It has varying heights - i am 5'9" and i have it set at the highest setting, and its very comfortable. It is wide enough and long enough to iron a double duvet (folded in half) easily. Also very sturdy. expensive, but if you do a lot of ironing - worth the money. Got it a lot cheaper on here that all the other websites i looked at.
