My husband has had a similar vice for many years and bequeathed it reluctantly to friends abroad who needed one. He wondered whether this one would be as good and it certainly is. A good solidly made item with suction pads that work well. It arrived well within the estimated time and is an excellent value for money tool.

I was interested to test one of these. I love building architectural models and have ALWAYS used a traditional vice. Unfortunately now I study in London and space is somewhat a luxury and as a result I make models on the coffee table. My girlfriend wasn't happy about that so I thought instead of ruining the table I'd try this.

I'm glad I did. The suction on this is INSANE. I can physically lift the table up with the vice - not recommended!

When cutting, sawing or filing the vice holds the object securely and with a various range of different joints it can be held in many different angles.

A must have for any hobby model maker.

I thought I would get into a little model making and decided to purchase this table vice. It turned out to be a great investment, the tool does what it says on the box, but I have one little niggle. The suction pad comes loose after a few minutes which can be a pain, which is why it only gets four stars. But because of its weight it doesn't matter too much.

When you buy a German vice you don't expect to have to strip it down and rebuild it which is just what I had to do. When I first took it out of the box it was extreamly sloppy hence the rebuild. It is fine now and is proving a most usefull and satisfactory tool for small scale modeling (1/76 scale brass locos). Price for price I would recommend it.

A really good vice, well made and very adjustable. Holds well on smooth surfaces as long as you dampen the rubber base.
