Joie de vivre: Corbin Fisher Meets Bel Ami,
By
This review is from: Boys Unlimited (Hardcover)
Two sources of some of the more sophisticated, tasteful, beautifully executed photography of the young healthy male are Corbin Fisher and the company called Bel Ami whose photographer and editor is George Duroy. Corbin Fisher's works have always focused on truly fresh models - young American heterosexual athletic perfect men who seem to enjoy the freedom of acting out playful attitudes for Corbin's stylish camera. Bel Ami on the other hand has been known for finding like models in Eastern Europe, models more experienced in films and settings that embrace the erotic.
In this very beautifully designed and produced book from the highly successful Bruno Gmünder Verlag publishing house the viewer is introduced to a new combination of Fisher/Duroy and the result is a book so full of vitality and youthful excitement that it is bound to be a best seller to a very large audience. The images are all in color (very rich saturated color) and the models glow with health and candor. The images vary from pool to yard to interior shots and the subject of each is always that of healthy sport - these young men seem to be thoroughly spontaneous and having a great time. Yes, there are images that share arousal but then how many young lads of this age group would deny that spontaneous response to thought and to life? The interplay between these lads is so un-posed, so natural that it seems just that much more innocently sensual. For fans of Corbin Fisher's art and for the art from George Duroy and Bel Ami (with a deep bow to Bruno Gmünder Verlag) this is a book to order now - before the general public discovers this treasure trove. Actually, it's a bit limited...,
By J. Salzenstein "Style Editor" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Boys Unlimited (Hardcover)
What do you get when powerhouse purveyors of porn Bel Ami and Corbin Fisher pal-up and combine forces? Why, Boys Unlimited, silly.
The result (or rather, one of the results) of an erotic experiment in East-meets-West, Boys Unlimited documents the convergence of the boys of Eastern Europe's Bel Ami and Corbin Fishers all-American guys, as told through the lens of a camera... and very little clothing. A product of legendary erotic male publishing house Bruno Gmunder, you'd expect a high quality, large-format coffee table book full of beautiful images- and that's exactly what you get. Although it's certainly nothing new under the sun given the popularity and exposure of both studios, Boys Unlimited merges simple, straightforward style with sensual, erotic photos taken during the guys' first meeting in San Francisco as well as on the ground and behind-the-scenes in Prague and Budapest. There's not much to say about the guys, the photography, or the book itself that most EDGE readers wouldn't have imagined simply given the bits of info above; Bel Ami, Corbin Fisher, Bruno Gmunder, Eastern Europe... it's not rocket science. Two groups of hot guys plus first rate publisher times coffee table book minus clothing equals a steamy affair that's likely only eclipsed by the video that came out of this same meeting. Strict literalists should know that the title is a bit deceptive, given the fairly narrow look of the guys featured. And to be honest, the boys tend to blend together a bit in cookie cutter fashion after a while. That said, if you like your boys European, tan, relatively smooth, and a fairly innocent (save for the flagpoles at half-mast and sexual activity going on between them), Boys Unlimited is right up your alley. 2 of 5 people found the following review helpful:
