1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing but drugs and football hooliganism 14 Feb 2014
By H Root
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Have you ever been to Warwick University? Campus is positively swarming with wild fungi everywhere. My son Colin is in the second year of his Sociology degree and lives in the Tocil flats with his boyfriend Kevin. My son was in the middle of a hand picked natural mushroom omelette (following his mother's recipe) when Her Majesty's Constabulary raided the flats. My son was arrested for preparing what they call 'magic mushrooms' for use and distribution. When the boys in blue searched his room, thankfully they ignored the items under the bed and went straight for this book. Put it in one of them bags they did -like on the telley.

He's up court in Coventry next week and possession of this book is to be used as evidence against him at the trial. Is it a book fit for your maidservant? No it is not. It is full of drug references partnered with a pleasing business section about various London Firms

I asked his tutor to provide a character reference for him but she said that she can only provide testimonials for what she calls 'wimmin' students. Apparently she lent him this book and lives in a big posh house in Leamington Spa. Trial starts Tuesday

5.0 out of 5 stars fooking ACE, MON! 1 May 2013
By Peter
Format:Hardcover
Its a cultural document, of underground London clubculture , football, clothes, music, puka bumbles! and greatest of divine timing, it all just came together quite nicely, oh and by the help of a little fella, it really was GOOD TIMES! I was a bit young at 15 but i used to nick my brothers copy, from he's room and read it with me mates, for the playlists, and 'uppers & downers' laughing our heads off, we got it! The attitude has stayed with me forever, thank you,ALL! top,top boys! And they are all still making music and doing partys! <3

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have 11 Dec 2009
By Macca
Format:Hardcover
An absolute must-have for all of the club-kids of the late-80s

I used to buy these fanzines religiously and at some point in the last 20 or so years, they vanished.

This is like finding an oasis in the desert.

Remember - better dead than an acid ted

5.0 out of 5 stars FOR SUPPORTERS ONLY 3 May 2010
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
For supporteres only because this item was a amazing collection of a DiY idea of a fan music way to expression. Thousands and thousands of pop culture references in a big book. For understanding the incredible culture club scene who write the Junior Boys in that period. Football & elegance.
