I first heard these songs about 20 years ago on a reel-to-reel tape player when I was a teenager. I recently had the opportunity to see Doc Watson live at the Rhythm & Roots festival in Bristol, TN. The memories of hearing songs like The Tennessee Stud, Southern Lady, and Southbound Passenger Train came rushing back and I began my search for Doc and Merle Watson songs to add to my library. I was pleasantly surprised to find this double album on Amazon and wasted no time making the purchase. I promptly added this CD to my iTunes library, gave the songs 5 Stars, and have been listening to it everyday since. This is a MUST HAVE if you appreciate the talents of Doc Watson. I would also suggest the original Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's, Will The Circle Be Unbroken Vol. 1. Another fantastic collection of music and artists, including Doc Watson. Enjoy!
