I read the article in the NYTimes about Boyd Lee Dunlop, 85 years old, coming to the nursing home 4 years ago with 50 cents in his pocket. Raised poor, lived poor, started playing the piano in the nursing home, played backup jazz all his life, never made it, got discovered, got recorded.
I bought the MP3 download on Amazon, I listened, I sent a link to my son and encouraged him to buy it (a jazz guitarist) and posted a link on my Facebook page and asked all my friends to support this man's music.
I love the music. It's delightful jazz. It's like sitting at a Jazz concert. You can close your eyes and just get lost in the music.
Way to go Boyd!
