Book Description

28 May 2012
Boy D'Battle's world falls apart when he is accused of attempted murder. He was to spend a week with his best friend Max, awaiting the highly anticipated, revolutionary Y-U2 4D WIZZY holographic computer. Instead, he is forced to stay with his mad Nana at Hurleybatts, her crumbling, haunted home in the middle of nowhere. Even worse - mobiles are forbidden because they disorientate the bees. Will Boy try to escape or will the mysterious surge or strength pumping up through his boots be enough to endure Nana's hair-raising and spine-chilling adventures?

5.0 out of 5 stars A charming book filled with love and warmth ! 17 Jun 2012
I bought this lovely book for my neice as it was recomended. When it arrived I was curious and started to read it myself and was immediatly smitten! A ripping yarn indeed, full of English eccentric charm - but perhaps most of all it resounds with so much warmth and love. A spiritual tale if you will, with an optimistic message. I dispatched the book to my neice and she loved it. She is very visual and particularly enjoyed the very detailed crafted pictures which draw you in and have a wonderful power of their own which aid and fuel the imagination.

This book is for anyone of any age who loves mystery, magic, telepathic animals, ghosts, super powers, Space and cheese soufflés. It is of course for children but is the ideal bedtime 'read' that parents and children will never wish to end. Boy, the hero, soon realises that there is a lot to learn about Life when he is sent to stay with his eccentric Nanna at the haunted Hurleybatts for the Summer holidays. His amazing adventures are beautifully portrayed by a hidden bonus in this book..the fascinating illustrations. Children all over England will soon start buzzing about Boy and the Beez. This is a must read for anyone with heart, soul and imagination. Harry Potter meets The Lion, The Witch and The wardrobe.
