Sounds a bit more relaxed than the first 2 Ducks Deluxe albums.
Track 1, Diesel Heart, is more than a little reminisant of Sea Cruise but a great track non the less.
I couldn't stop thinking of recent albums by John Fogerty whilst listening to this CD but as he's also in peak form at present that is meant as a big compliment. (nb Anyone reading this that doesn't already own a copy of Revival by John Fogerty rectify immedialety, you won't be disappointed). In fact the second track, Tremelo Bay, would have fitted nicely on Fogerty's last album.
'Dig It Deep' has a bit of a country rock sound to it, but still unmistakenly Sean Tyler. The Country Rock reference shouldn't really come as a great surprise because the Pub Rock bands of the early 70's relied heavily on a cross between Rock 'n' Roll and Country Rock so it is very much a return to the roots before Punk raised it's head and pinched some gems from the scene.
Not a duff track in sight but a great pity that it's only 23 minutes long. More an EP than LP but still a very welcome addition to my collection.
