my daughter (11) loves these books and keeps reading them with different outcomes. Very clever idea and keeps the same book interesting and fun to read over and over again!

I bought this set for an 11 year old who had lost all interest in reading. He began reading as soon as he opened them and we heard nothing from him for the next hour and a half at least - he had his nose in the book the whole time! Speaks for itself! They are good value for money, are pretty sturdy and come in a box.

Like the other reviewers here I too bought this for a little one (12). So I will try not to repeat what they have already mentioned.

Having had one or two of these as child I was shocked and delighted when I came across them. First things first these books are fantastic for getting children to read more. And by playing along with them you can spend some quality time together and help imrpove their vocabulary at the same time. Some of the books also have some side puzzles that can be solved on the internet which adds an extra dimension that to be honest I probably enjoyed more than they did. For example you might get a link to a site that shows a picture of the haunted house you are in, that picture then reveals clues, which can help guide you down the correct path. These are not essential to do but again do add an extra dimension to the book and at the risk of sounding repetitive are also a fantastic way of getting younger kids or the whole family involved.

I highly recommend these books. Enjoy

I had some when I was a young boy and helped me to get interested in reading books, Maintain interest and my young lad really loves reading them to me, and deciding what to do at end of each chapter. Great!

i looked for this style book for a long time. my son is very much into reading and this made a fantastic little present for him. he loves how you can read them more than once and not have same story just by changing ur option at end of chapter. Excellent for any young reader.

I lived these books as a child so purchased them for my 8 year old daughter, but she doesn't seem as fussed. Prehaps it's just personal choice or she's a little too young. I thought perhaps the pictures on the front could do with updating as it wasn't very 21st century, but guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
