A well presented title,it has excellent Photographs and the diagrams are clear and easy to understand. If you have just started Ten Pin bowling there is a multitude of information to digest, obviously how in depth you wish to go is relevant to your own personal expectations and how much you wish to practice.
I have read a fair number of titles on Ten pin bowling and this particular book covers a wide range of the skills needed to raise your game from that of the "Childrens Party" participant to that of a person with a good basic overall knowledge of the sport.
There are different sections in the book that deal with Pre-shot routines, different hand releases, starting position and the targeting of spares. Along with chapters on Bowling equipment and a glossary of the various terms and language of Ten Pin Bowling.
Overall a well presented and knowledgeable title for those Just begining in the sport who wish to improve their game.

I can't fault this book too much, it really is called 'for beginners' but it is very basic. I was hoping for some hints and tips on improving stance/strikes etc. But this really goes through 'this is a ball' - I guess I bought the wrong thing, having read the other reviews on people reading it and improving their scores instantly. For me I ended up literally flicking through about 95% of the pages! It is for beginners, if you're a beginner this is probably perfect, but you really do start from scratch!

Have been bowling for few years now and getting worse.

Brought this book started from scratch, followed all the easy to follow instruction.

Man what a difference went from my normal 360 score 3 game total to a 500 score

Great book for all ages 16 Nov. 2001
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
It doesn't matter if you are a beginner bowler or "an expert" anyone can learn something new from this book. Well written and to the point it truely gives concrete steps to help you be a better bowler. This is a book appropriate for all ages. My children and I all use the techniques Don talks about in the book. It has improved our games all around. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves bowling.

Great for beginning bowler and teenagers 12 Mar. 2007
By A. Roberson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
There is some really good information in this book for beginning bowlers; however I recommend it for teenagers wanting to get into the sport. The author and photographer did a good job of putting a lot of photos in the book to demonstrate their points. I would give this book to a kid or teen wanting to get into the sport. If you are an adult wanting to try the sport or looking for fundamental advice then buys Bowling Fundamentals, you'll be happy you did.

Great Starter Book 24 Oct. 2005
By H. Gonzalez - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book will tell you all the basics of Bowling. It was very instructive with graphics that helped explain some of the terminology that is not readly understood. I recommend it for anyone thinking about the sport to those already playing (like myself). It helped me with understanding the sport better.
