5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious recipes for all tastes 18 Jun 2003
It is impossible not to find something in this book that you would like to eat. From rich Italian risotto and pasta recipes to healthy flavoursome eastern dishes, each recipe appears on its own page with a beautiful colour photograph of the finished dish. There are nearly 200 recipes divided into soups, salads, pasta, rice, wok, curries and "one pots". The recipes I most like are for the wok - since I am in a healthy eating phase at the moment and yearn for flavoursome, yet low-fat eating. Yakiudon - a Japanese dish of thick noodles with ginger, soy sauce, shredded cabbage and peppers, has become a family favourite. Stir fried lamb with mint and chilli was a huge hit at an informal dinner party. I bought this book as a present for a friend and immediately had to buy it for myself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yummy food that's a bit different 13 Aug 2004
Packed full of ideas for everyday and special meals this book hits just the right note with me.
The recipes are authentic, which can mean lots of ingredients, but rarely complicated. They are always packed full of flavour and my personal favourits include the Laksa and mussaman curry.
This book manages to successfully include recipies from all over the globe while retaining authenticity. - a definate recommendation!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - my most-used cook book 21 Mar 2009
When I'm hungry and I fancy something different and exciting I pick up this book, flick through the pictures (one for each recipe - very useful for me as my eyes can decide for me!) Great range of cuisines. Recipes very easy to follow, my cooking (and enthusiasm for it) has improved hugely since starting to use this book. Absolutely love it, never fails to get yummy noises with each meal. I've got a fair few cook books from famous chefs/food buffs - I keep thinking about using them but in the end I give up for lack of inspiration or just put off by poor instructive writing, so I end up with this book every time. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful! 27 Aug 2008
By Sassi
This book is by far the best recipe I have ever owned (and I have a lot!). The recipes are delicious and I have never cooked anything that was a failure or a disappointment. There is a wide range of recipes including family meals to something a bit more exotic and unusual (without being overly complicated) and classic dishes with a twist. All recipes have a picture, which I personally find very helpful. Try the tomato bread soup, macaroni cheese with pancetta, chicken and pork paella, pumpkin risotto, chicken with thai basil chilli and cashews, Malaysian Nonya curry - delicious!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a book of magic not recipes.. 18 July 2006
As a person who lives a busy lifestyle and who doesn't have a lot of time to cook and eat, this book has brought so many smiles to my face. The recipes are very easy to follow and a lot of the food in here is simple and quick to make. While if you want to entertain and spend a bit of time and effort into having friends over for dinner there are recepes to cater for this as well. Plus I haven't cooked a meal out of this that wasn't absolutely delicious. Normally I will pick a recipe apart and add and take out ingredients, but I haven't touched one of them in here. Bravo!!
