Devout Buddhists will find nourishing soul food in his one section devoted to specific Buddhist healing meditations. As for everyone else, Thondup has written an accessible, information-packed book that covers it all--from "Avoiding Expectations", to "Creating a Healing Aura While Sleeping" to "Meditations for the Dead or Dying" and "How Helpers and Survivors Should Behave". Regardless of the disease, discomfort or desire, Thondup has a meditation up his sleeve, making this one of the most practical handbooks on healing meditations available. --Gail Hudson --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

An excellent book which is living up to its title.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Boundless Healing: Meditation Exercises to Enlighten the Mind and Heal the Body (Paperback)
A very helpful book which exudes wisdom and kindness."Boundless Healing" can be read by complete novices, such as myself, and by those who already have an understanding of meditation and buddhism. Whilst the author is a buddhist monk, this book is appropriate for anyone of any faith or who has no religious convictions. This book focuses on the power of your own mind to assist you in healing. This book is full of wisdom and compassion. I also like the fact that it is not promising a miracle cure for your physical ills - even the Buddha became ill and died, as the author explains- but what it does offer is an ability to find peace of mind and tranquility. From that point, you are in a better position to benefit from any medical treatments that may be needed and also to give the body an opportunity to heal itself. From a personal perspective I found this book of immediate help. Having been very ill for nearly six months I was becoming very despondent. I am sure that if I had seen my GP about how I felt, I would have been handed anti depressants. This book helped me to get my mental attitude back on track. I now feel very positive and accepting of how my health is. And sure enough, I am now starting to find that my condition is starting to improve generally. I will make a complete recovery and I know that negative attitudes and depression would have delayed the healing process. This book rescued me. I cannot recommend it enough.

This review is from: Boundless Healing: Meditation Exercises to Enlighten the Mind and Heal the Body (Buddhayana Foundation Series) (Hardcover)
Tulku Thondup captures the essence of compassion and healing in what can only be described as a subtle and outstanding book. The exercises in this book help calm both physical and emotional needs. In fact, these meditations are helpful to anyone who wants to increase their peace of mind and sense of personal well-being.Although rooted in Buddhism, this book will appeal to Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Whoever you are, whatever problems you may face, Tulku Thondup simply wants you feel better... 29 of 38 people found the following review helpful:

Profound and exquisite,
By Sabrikitty - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Boundless Healing: Meditation Exercises to Enlighten the Mind and Heal the Body (Paperback)
I have read this book over and over and over again. And like the mystical works described by Borges; it seems to recreate itself anew, each time I open it. There is such a vast array of tremendously valuable exercises and wisdom herein; both in expanse and in depth. I have such tremendous gratitude in my heart for Tulku Thondup in that he took time to write such a detailed treatise on healing that is resonant with compassion, practical in its suggestions/exercises, and beautifully written -- with striking imagery and the perfect balance of theoretical knowledge to illustrative anecdotes. This is a book I hope to keep near for a very long time to come, and to exult in the warm embrace of its healing splendor, rays of encouragement and sage counsel. Moved by such a fine hand and rooted knowing, this book is a tremendous support and reference; the abundance of information and the clarity of its personal expression create a golden alchemy of healing mind, body, soul and heart. I love this book.
