Product Description

Product Description

Many couples are excited by the idea of tying each other up or experimenting with power games, but feel nervous about what exactly is involved. For most, the thought of asking for advice is far too embarrassing. Well, now you can find out the answers in the privacy of your own home. "Bound to Please" holds the key to a wild and daring sex life. Emily Dubberley - a leading sexpert - introduces the joys of adventurous exploration. After establishing boundaries and safe words, Emily will help you choose the right materials for you and introduces a world of thrilling experiences to try, from power games to sensual teasing, to spanking and food play. This pack is aimed predominately at 25-40 year-old women - the main purchasers of sex toys - but will be non-threatening to an older (or younger 18+) market, in part because it can be presented as a gift product, as well as a book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Clever book, really junky props, 20 Feb 2012
By Zhuang Zi - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Bound to Please (Paperback)
I've followed Emily Dubberley for a few years since hearing a radio interview while in the UK. Her podcasts are an engaging mixture of erotica and sex education. The witty and informative booklet that accompanies this kit is quite good for its length (90 pages), covering safety, communication, techniques, and some sexy and well-described scenarios to try. The illustrations by Jacquie O'Neill are provocative, not raunchy. And if you and partner discover a taste for bondage, Jay Wiseman's Erotic Bondage Handbook can provide a more comprehensive discussion.

But. The props are junk, and worse. The velour blindfold -- 36 inches long and about 1 1/4 inches wide -- is impractical as a blindfold, though one could tie wrists with it. The fuzzy handcuffs are a menace. They're too small to close on most adults, which is good, because compression injuries to the nerves through the wrist can be permanent. They remind me of a cops-and-robbers toy from before child safety laws. I blame the publisher; I sincerely doubt that Ms. Dubberley ever saw these, or she would have insisted on a nom de plume.
