This really is a great testament to Judith Durham & The Seekers as it includes their entire EMI recordings including ALL their albums even Live At Talk Of The Town.

All their hits are here sometimes more than once with alternate takes plus a previously unreleased track "Paper Bird" and four solo tracks from Judith.

The Seekers never went for gimmicks they just made good music, music that has survived!

The sleeve-notes are very informative stating that within weeks of arriving in the UK they were appearing in theatres with Dusty Springfield which led to Dusty's brother Tom writing several of their biggest hits.

This collection is very good...a new unreleased track , Judith's solo stuff, the complete Talk Of the Town lp and two tracks corrected that were originally a mess on the The Seekers Complete Box set...namely ..What have they done to the rain (with the start now intact) and We're moving On (it is taken from a stereo tape at last not an lp...and a noisy mono one at that with fake stereo added)but there are a few mix ups..

There are a couple of tracks from the "World of our Own" which could have been in stereo... The Leaving Of Liverpool , and The times they are a Changin'...they are in mono only here...and some of the tracks from Come The Day And Seekers in Green feel like they've been compressed with the latest annoying digital algorhythm..

there are also still a few singles that could be in stereo and are in other collections...

Well, we waited a long time for EMI Uk to publish all versions of songs from The Seekers and some fantastic gems from their archive including 'Paper Bird' which never surfaced among the bands released recordings, so a very pleasant surprise as a 'rediscovered' lost track. Also included are Judith Durhams excellent solo recordings from the time prior to and immediately after the Seekers disbanded in 1968. Olive Tree was recorded as a solo single before the Seekers officially disbanded, the we get the treats of Judiths solo releases such as The Non Performing Lion Quickstep ( quirky and fun, almost eurovision) Again and Again, uptempo and avant garde, Memories ( sounds very 50's but you won't forget it) a superb collection of the Seekers at their best. You really should invest in this!!
