More About the Author

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared. Lora's family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in relative peace with each other. Surrounded by a menagerie of pets, friends, and a teenage son who keeps her quick wit engaged, Lora's life is filled with joys, aided by her fans whose hearts remind her daily why she writes.
She can often be found daydreaming and plotting and planning with the varied characters that fill her imagination when she isn't planning her flower gardens, watching the horses romp outside her home, or spending time with the family and pets she fills her life with. Writing is her passion, her peace, and her lifeline. She hopes you enjoy the stories, and that you visit her website www.loraleigh.com often for updates and news on characters and upcoming books

Bound Hearts really gets to the, um, heart, of the situtaion and quite quickly. It is very intense, which is what I like from sexy novels. The character really has to screw up her courage and overcome some of her deepest inhibition in order to do what she does. But the reward is quite good! Very, very recommend, esp. to those who have already read and like Ms. Leigh. I also suggest: Eager to Please.

Another good Lora Leigh that tells the story of more of the characters from that infamous private men's club. The book is made of two short stories which I really enjoyed and gives you a taster of what Lora Leigh is capable of in her full length books. If you like it hot and steamy but with a great story that shows an understanding of the human psyche that makes her books so enjoyable, this is a perfect choice.

I love Lora Leigh, her books are some of the best in erotic love stories ever told. Submission & suduction are two of her best to date. my only little complaint is that when i tried to buy other bound heart titles i found that you can only get them in ebook form! not good!!! But these two tails are WOW! the fact that each is about a man that has loved fair lady and has had to wait to claim them, shows that there is hope for everyone.

Scorching Books 2 & 3 in the Bound Hearts series! 9 Aug. 2005
By Stacy ~ - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Lora Leigh writes very erotic stories that are not for the faint of heart. In book 2 of the Bound Series, "Submission" is the story of Ella and James. Ella is Tess' mother (from "Surrender") and James is Jesse's twin brother. Ella is appalled and shocked by the lifestyle of James, and if she can't condone her daughter living that kind of a life, she certainly isn't going to let herself live it. But James know what Ella secretly wants, knows that traditional sex is not enough for her, even if she refuses to admit it. He also knows she's uncomfortable with the fact she's older than him, but he doesn't let that stop him from helping her explore her sexuality and needs that only he can fulfill. James has needs, too, and he wants desperately for the woman he loves to accept those needs, accept that part of his nature - the dominant side of himself. Can he make her understand that she is all he really needs, the woman he wants to please above all others? James finally convinces Ella to submit and rewards her with an experience they will both cherish.

In "Seduction", Jesse wants Terrie very badly, loves her so much, but he knows how much she's been hurt by his own brother Thomas and he refuses to use her just to satisfy his desires. His need to share his woman with another man is not something he takes lightly, but he's not sure if she's ready for it. Instead of pushing, he decides to seduce her into coming to him. Terrie needs to be the one to accept what he has to offer. Only he doesn't count on his chosen lover to be just as stubborn and determined as he is. Once she ran from him straight into the arms of his "safer" brother. Will she run again, this time for good? Or will she give her heart and soul to the one man who heats her blood like no other? Jesse is in for a surprise when he realizes his Terrie is not the shy, timid woman he thought she was, but a woman with fantasies of her own, all involving him. He finds out that she is his other half, willing to indulge in his darker sensuality and discover the ultimate in satisfaction together.

While these stories are very graphic and frank in nature, within each one is a strong emotional connection; the characters love each other and are committed to their own kind of relationship. These are not conventional love stories, but rather stories of people willing to lose their inhibitions with each other and push the boundaries of their relationships to new levels. Never once did I feel that the heroines were ever forced to accept any type of humiliation or participate in anything against their will. Any acts of domination tended to excite and enhance the women's pleasure rather than harm or traumatize. The Bound Hearts series may not be for everyone, but it does appeal to a large audience of women who are eager to explore that side of themselves.

A miss and a hit 13 Sept. 2010
By Hooked - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This contains books 2 and 3 of The Bound Hearts series of novellas about a group of Doms, nicknamed The Trojans, who each seeks his submissive woman. In this society the ultimate gesture of trust is agreeing to a double-entry three-way with the third-wheel guy of the Dom's choosing -- all for the sub's pleasure, as determined by the Dom, of course. The books are basically about a Dom getting a submissive to go along with being shared, with a lot of one-on-one and ménage sex thrown in.

(2 stars) Submission

Houseguest James tries to seduce Ella. Ella is put-off because her Dom ex husband treated her badly, and because she walked in on her daughter having a three-way that included James's twin and was horrified.

Leigh's sex scenes are always good, the problem with this book is the characterization. We aren't given the thought process that went into Ella's decision to go along with the three-way. Sax, the third wheel, is used as a live sex toy, and has no character. I almost didn't finish it or go on to the next one, but I'm glad I did.
_______________________

(4 stars) Seduction

Jesse tries to seduce his widowed sister-in-law Terrie. Terrie is put-off because her ex-husband was a jerk and she feels a third wheel isn't necessary for an exciting relationship.

This book has everything the first one was missing. You get to see Terrie's thought process, and the third wheel Lucian has a personality. There is much more emotional connection in this book than the first one. I found the basic story more interesting because of the characterization of Terrie and Jesse, and the addition of supporting characters Tally and Lucien from Jesse's office.

Some of the writing choices bothered me. Using names: Tally, Tess, Terrie and James, Jesse, Jase is something most authors try hard to avoid. Some of the writing is a little sloppy with repeat phrases and the proofing is poor.

I liked Leigh's Breed series, and I suspect that Submission/Seduction in the Bound Hearts series is earlier in her writing career and the novellas will get better as the series progresses (I liked the preview of book 4 with Lucien and Tally and look forward to reading the next in the series).

Cheap sex and no story. 3 Nov. 2013
By KiKi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I enjoy Lora Leigh's books but this one fell way short of her unusual creativity. I didn't realize it was just 2 short stories so, obviously there wasn't much time to build characters or a good story line. Previous books have been hot and smoldering with erotic sex but, if you're looking for a quick synopsis to gratuitous sex, then this may be to your liking.
Very caring with a nice storyline to hold it together 10 Jan. 2013
By Kathy Davie - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Both short stories are erotic romances with a focus on bondage and submission in a threesome. The series revolves around a group of men who love their women and want to give them what they consider the ultimate pleasure with the occasional threesome.

Series:
"Submission", Bound Hearts, 2
"Seduction", Bound Hearts, 3

Yes, this is a very erotic combination and what I like is the reason Leigh gives for their preference for a threesome. It's actually very caring with a nice storyline holding the sex together.

The Stories
"Submission" is about James Wyman and Ella Delacourte with Sax as their third. Ella is Tessa Delacourte's mother from "Surrender (Bound Hearts, #1)", the first in the Bound Hearts series. So, it's rather surprising to discover the truth as to why Ella was so appalled at Tessa's behavior.

I did enjoy James' seduction of Ella, the lady who doth protest too much. It's a nice switch for the ladies to have a woman older than the man who is so incredibly attracted to her.

"Seduction" is Terrie's seduction with Jesse Wyman, a lawyer at Delacourt Electronics, and Lucian as their third. Tally Raines enters the series as Jesse's bitchy secretary who connives with Terrie. Seems Terrie wasted a lot of years through her own fear of Jesse's desires only to experience worse with his brother Thomas.

This one includes a threesome with two women and a man. Another short story that deals with the fear of accepting one's own desires and sexual needs.

The Cover
The cover is disturbing with the morph-effect of a man's head and neck seeming to emerge from the back of a woman's head and shoulder. I guess Leigh chose only a couple for this cover as both women are more interested in an intense relationship with one man and the occasional third.

The title is simply the titles of both stories, Submission and Seduction.
