Product Description

The only thing worse than having no family at all, is having a family that is out to hurt you. That would all be bad enough for a normal 17-year-old, but it's even worse for Alec Graves. A shape shifter's pack, his family, is the only thing stopping the other preternatural creatures out there from killing them.

Alec's pack isn't just neglectful, he's pretty sure that his father wants him dead. Alec is about to be sent to the front lines of a war between his people and everything else that goes bump in the night. His only chance of survival is to convince everyone around him that he's the perfect soldier, but there are lines that Alec won't cross, not for any price.

Publisher's Note: Dean Murray's ongoing Reflection Series has been a stunning success with hundreds of thousands of copies in circulation, and a rich, complex world where choices—right or wrong—have real, profound consequences. Unsatisfied with the restrictions imposed on him by writing inside of the conventional series structure, Dean has returned to Sanctuary and the characters so many fans have fallen in love with.

Bound is the first in Dean's new Dark Reflections novels, an alternate timeline set in the same world and featuring many of the same characters, but with a profoundly different backstory.

Dean finally answers many of the questions that his most dedicated readers have been asking themselves for years. What would have happened if Alec's father hadn't been murdered by the Coun'hij, how would Adri's life have changed if her family hadn't been shattered in a horrific accident?

The answers may surprise you, but one thing is for sure; you'll see new sides of familiar faces and when all is said and done, you'll never be able to look at some of them the same.

Readers new to Dean Murray's writing can start with Bound in the Dark Reflections Series or Broken in the Reflections Series.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars just is not enough! 31 July 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Found this book after deciding to download the free copy of Broken ( I highly recomend you do the same!)

This book is a spin off from The Reflections series, Its all the same people mostly, what makes it really good is that its set in a differemt timeline than the Reflections series. So we get to see and not just wonder what would happen if things had gone a little differently from the beggining.

To me the fact that there are different starting points and even an alternate timeline takes these books from being a mere series of storys into a whole new fantastic world to delve right into!

I would give these books 100 stars, but i can only go up to 5. Im totaly captured by Dean Murrays work. I hope you all give him just 5 mins and you will be too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Bound 7 April 2014
By Merissa
Format:Kindle Edition
I received this book from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

As you may be aware, I am a Reflections Fan. I read book one and was drawn in. By book 2 I was completely hooked and just found myself further enthralled with Alec and Adri as the story continued. So I'll admit to being torn about this set. I loved Reflections and wasn't sure if I even wanted to read an alternate storyline. But then my curiosity kicked in and I started reading it. As always with Dean Murray's books, I ended up staying awake a lot longer than I intended as I "just read one more chapter".

The story is certainly darker than the original series, hence the "Dark Reflections" series title. You see familiar faces in unfamiliar conditions and surroundings. Some of the things that happen in Reflections don't or haven't happened here. On the whole, it is a brand new look at the wolf pack of Sanctuary and of the shifter world in general.

I really enjoyed this book, almost against my own desires, and am looking forward to reading more in this series. I think it will be very interesting to find out how Adri and Alec will meet up this time. If you like Reflections, then definitely give Dark Reflections a chance.

5.0 out of 5 stars So Good! 1 Feb 2014
By Eric - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I admit I was hesitant to read this "Dark Reflections" series. I didn't want an alternate timeline but I wanted to keep reading about the characters I had already invested in through the "Reflections" series so I read it anyway. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the politics of pack life, the hierarchy of dominants and submissives, and the secrets that just about everyone seems to be keeping. This isn't "alternate" as in "throw away" or "filler." Bound enhances the Reflections series by allowing the reader to get a more comprehensive look at the characters from the other series (at the time of posting this review the first book in the Reflections series, Broken, is free on Amazon with the parallel book, Torn, free through the author's website). The world Dean Murray creates with words is vastly complex and engaging. I cannot wait to read the next installment!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great storyline! 27 Jan 2014
By Adrian - Published on Amazon.com

I've really been enjoying Dean Murray's Reflections series, so when I saw that this is a kind of alternate timeline, I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't enjoy it so much. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I like this book just as much as the others! Having read the other books, this one gave a better knowledge of the characters. Had I not read the other books, this one would still be a great starting book to get into the series. So whether you're already a fan of the author or brand new, this book is well worth the read.
