The major features are rapid and complete biodegradability within 35-45 days under normal composting conditions and unlike 'degradable' bags which are made from chemically-treated polyethylene or part starch / part polyethylene, they leave absolutely no residues

If you want to end up with strings of mucky plastic, buy these bags. I spent 12 months trying to compost them in my plastic compost bin. Everything else crumbled into wonderful compost, but these little blighters refused to rot down. Eventually I had to separate them from everything else and bin them. Not a pleasant experience.

The bags are very weak and they often split when they're in the bin, leaking stuff out, so I have to put them inside another stronger bag. However, they do biodegrade so can be put straight onto the compost heap.

Not bad and good value for the biodegrading angle - but we found we prefer to just tip ours into the compost bin in the garden and then wash our caddy out, but think this would be very helpful for people living in urban areas or in flats.

too pricey
