Okay, so yeah, real good. It's amazing, and here's why:
The Boston Shaker fits real nice onto the mixing glass. As long as there's some ice and booze inside, you'll mix yer drinks pure amazing like. Put in enough ice to fill half that thing altogether, shake it confidently; you're onto a winner. After you've shaken it, give it a hard tap, then the two parts come undone real nice; you strain, and you pour.
It couldn't be more delightful
The bar-spoon comes in real handy for drinks that ain't meant to be shaken, but stirred, like the Classic Martini, or the Long Island Iced Tea (there's no tea in it!), and as for the muddler, seriously, how on earth could you prepared an old fashioned Old-Fashioned without that sturdy wooden bad-boy!?!?
Anyway, this set is a great beginner's outfit. And it sets you well on the way for a professional's outfit, too. You will, however, definitely need some measuring equipment. If you ain't got no measuring equipment at home (as I already did), then this company are offering the same cocktail equipment with half-ounce and full-ounce measurers for a slightly larger price. Or you can buy this thing, then go down to the store for some measures. Make sure you got them measures!
I am slightly drunk. I made two Whiskey Sours with this shaker, and they worked out brilliantly:
Bourbon whiskey - 45mls
Lemon Juice - 30mls
Sugar syrup - 30 mls
& a dash of egg white
shake in the Boston Shaker without ice for 10 seconds, then add ice, then shake for 20 seconds, then strain into a tumbler full of ice, with a cherry garnish:
I'm gonna have another.
