Product Description

From the Publisher

Celebrity bosses:
Tony Blair, a Taurus. There are three ways of doing business: the right way, the wrong way and the Taurus way. Every Taurus boss once had a great idea. Well, an idea, anyway. And that one idea, he is deeply convinced, is as good now as it ever was...

Gordon Ramsay, a Scorpio. Be wary of muttering mutinously about your Scorpio boss. They know all and hear all and will be placing cryptic mobile phone calls to their underworld contacts within moments.

Sven Goran Eriksson, an Aquarius – a "we’ll get back to you on that" air sign. Sadly, it seems they don’t have much of a competitive edge…

This makes funny and at times slightly cringy reading. I found myself immediately checking out my own star sign nightmare boss profile. Then I moved on to others at work. It was scary how near to the knuckle some of it was. It was passed around work for ages and everyone had a big old laugh at it and an opinion on it. Recommend as a present for a like-minded/broad-minded colleague.

Dead on accurate 5 Jun. 2003

I would swear that the authors watched my last boss to make their description of the Scorpio Boss. This person did everything that was listed in book. I would say that if you want to understand/survive your boss, you should get this book!

Hilarious! A must-have for astrology lovers! 22 Jun. 2005
By D. M. LaJuene - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I'm not very into astrology, but I once was and this book was cheap. The cover looked funny, so I figured it'd be worth the couple dollars. I was so right.

The book draws on some actual astrological stereotypes, but it's also rather satirical - imagine Matt Groening writing all of the descriptions. Each section includes advice on such things as how to get a raise from that particular type of boss and how to get his or her job. Like the rest of the description, they're exaggerated to the point of sheer hilarity.

Of particular interest for me were the descriptions for Capricorn and Virgo. I'm a Capricorn, I own a beige suit and I like to know everything. My mother's a Virgo and is organized beyond belief.

If you or an astrology lover you know has a bastard boss (and you know you/they do), then definitely get this book. It's a laugh and a half!

Satire is a good thing in the workplace, especially... 29 July 2006
By Eire-ronic - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
if you work for one of the twelve bastards listed in this book. If you enjoy British wit you should purchase this book, then by all means take it to work where you will be a hit when you convene with coworkers-snickering of course at the complete idiocy of the bastard in charge. And, if you aspire to be the boss- you can gain insight into your own bastard destiny. The wee cost of this book, and the fact that it made me laugh out loud more than once, made it worth the 4.99 I paid at B&A.
