The good part of this CD repackage is that the songs are timeless and this is Elvis... Elvis presented in a new and interesting manner. The bad part is that it is a poorly compiled set of songs. It seems as if the powers that be just grabbed songs at random and threw them together into this set of supposed party songs. There were so many others that could have been included, while a few that are here just seem out of place. Why "Guitar Man"? And why "Suspicious Minds"? Neither of those makes me want to get up and party down! I wish someone had truly taken time to compile a solid collection of danceable Elvis tracks, perhaps even include a couple of dance remixes, and truly make this the Ultimate Elvis Party Album, as it is subtitled. The fact is, they didn't, and this collection falls short of that claim by miles. Do I enjoy it? YES, YES, YES. Is it an interesting hodge podge? YES, YES, YES. Is it the "ultimate" collection of Elvis party anthems? HECK NO!!!
