These are excellent when used with guitar effects pedals. When you use regular adapters, they introduce noise and hum, but with this adapter what boss have done is regulated the signal and then filtered it also, meaning the power going into your effects pedal is very clean and quiet. It is like using a battery. Excellent. Highly Recommended!

I bought the Boss PSA240, and it works just fine, but I needed another one. when it came to buying a second one I was told that the 230 had replaced it. It's not a big deal, but I think that the 230 is cheaper, saves energy. So probably better to take a look at it before you buy this one.

Well worth the purchase. Previously used a generic voltage adaptor for my pedals but it caused extra unwanted buzzing to the signal, this adaptor doesn't. Simple as that. So it's either buying 9V batteries at a fiver a time, or buy this once. If you're going to use your pedal for longer than 3 battery replacements, get this instead.
