OK at first but not very robust.,

This review is from: Lawn Spike Aerator
Product works OK at making small holesin the grass , but it isn't particularly well put together. The bars with the spikes come out and the plastic is brittle. The item is cheap but is a bit cheapquality as well.

Disappointed,

I purchased the aerator on behalf of my 88 year old father, who had read very good reviews of the machine.Although the aerator is very well made, he found that the spikes were not long enough, even on soft ground. He is of the opinion that if he had not had a couple of days of rain prior to his initial use the machine would have been totally ineffective.

Waste of Money,

The Spikes are not very long so; with a layer of grass, you bareley scratch the surface of the earth that you want to aeriate.I find placing a concrete slab on top to weight it down does help make the spikes penetrate a bit deeper. Using a garden fork probably does a better job.
