Beware of sellers with offers "Too Good to be True"
Be warned Bose Triports retail for 77 GBP so the probability that Brand New Bose triports are being sold for as little as 20 GBP should set the alarm bells ringing.
If you do a little research on line you will find that there are numerous fake Bose earphones on e-bay and articles telling you how to spot the fakes ( is it a coincidence that all the product photos have all of a sudden, disappeared?)
I've alerted amazon to this matter, so now I'll telling you.
If it looks to good to be true, then it probably is.... you have been warned

Excellent ear pieces.

They feel strange at first, as if they are going to fall out (although they haven't yet).

They don't block out much external sound but that's good, IMO, as it allows you to hear what's going on around you if you wear them at work. They are loud enough to be capable performers on the Tube.

I'd echo what has been said about turning off the audio "enhancements", these don't need much fiddling to get a nicely rounded sound. The bass response is good enough that they can hold the Black Eyed Peas or The Chemical Brothers together, but they also sound fab with acoustic stuff from Coldplay / Keane to the loudest AC/DC, Foo Fighters or RHCP's.

I'd also suggest making sure that you go for the real thing and the markII version with the black & white cables & neck band.

I've tried a number of options, the earphones that come with MP3 players have always disappointed, I've tried some Creative sound-insulating headphones which were cheaper but fall apart when they leave their sealed packaging, and I've bought a number of offerings from Sony and Shure. These are by far the best, they fit fine, they just work and the quality feels good, with the lanyard and the carrying case being the icing.

Ok, so true audiophiles might think the natural sound they produce is a little cool, but these are not earphones to sit and listen to LP's in an acoustically insulated environment, they are for everyday use attached to an MP3 player, and for that they are ideal.

I'd been looking at these for a long time, �60 could seem a lot to blow on a set of earphones. Now that I've done it, I wish I'd taken the plunge sooner. Seriously good kit.

I purchased a set through the Amazon Marketplace a few weeks ago. Having read reviews and noted the number of fake models on the market I immediately checked the earphones on receipt. Nothing obvious initially except the instruction booklet spelt "this" as thjs" and the booklet text was not horizontal - not what one would expect from a premium brand. A call to Bose confirmed the serial number to be genuine but I was still concerned.Following discussions with Bose I sent a series of photographs to them - they then confirmed they were fake. The trader immediately refunded the cost and I then purchased a genuine set ( at higher cost). How do you tell which is a fake ? - very difficult unless you have a genuine pair to compare.So beware - if something is too good to be true it can sometimes be. Lesson learned - the Bose genuine headphones are excellent but make sure you buy the latest model which has better earpieces and a lanyard and clip.
