Features
Acoustic equalisation technology from Bose fine-tunes the headphones' frequency response for a superior sound performance while proprietary TriPort® technology replicates tonally balanced sound with rich base notes. You'll enjoy a smooth lifelike sound experience and a comfortable fit from robust yet lightweight cushioned earcups that sit softly on your ears. The adjustable headband allows up to 7.5cm of length adjustment and the detachable cable on the single earcup will tangle less and give you greater freedom of movement than with Y-cables. A three-button inline remote controls voice applications track selection and volume on selected Apple devices and allows you to seamlessly switch between your music and calls. The inline microphone also enables hands-free iPhone calling and access to various voice applications such as VoiceControl and VoiceOver. And when you're not using them the flat-folding earcups are easy to transport and store in the sleek carrying case. A hologram label with an individual product code allows the headphones to be visually identified as a genuine Bose product. I tested and compared these with the QC3 and QC15 in the shop and I decided to purchase the OE2i.
The noise cancelling was essentially the same compared to the QC3 (even though the OE2i isn't technically noise cancelling). I did not hear any difference between either of the headphones.
In comparison with the QC15, the QC15 had better noise cancellation but these are over the ear.
The sound quality of the OE2i are excellent, excellent balance of treble and bass.
They can fold up into a compact size, really good build quality (not like those plasticy beats by dr. dre headphones) and come with a case, too.
The only gripe I have with them is that they get a bit warm after about an hour (for me anyway). However, if you adjust how you wear them on your head, there isn't a problem.
All in all, these are great for the price. I tried some non-noise cancelling Sennheisers for £140 and they were dreadful compared to these. If you're budget is around £150, buy these, otherwise go all out and get either the QC3 or QC15.

I had initially bought the Dre monster beats studio headphones. They leeked so much sound that I had to send them back.
Then tried this one and am very pleased. Firstly the look, they look professional, come with a nice case for protection and they fold up into a nice compactable shape thats easy to carry around in your bag. There is a microphone which is an added bonus allowing you to take phone calls too.
Absolutely cannot complain about the Sound. I have used it to play games, watch movies and listen to music. Ihave founf them to be very comfortabe and feel the sound really engrosses me in the media.
Then tried this one and am very pleased. Firstly the look, they look professional, come with a nice case for protection and they fold up into a nice compactable shape thats easy to carry around in your bag. There is a microphone which is an added bonus allowing you to take phone calls too.

It really depends what you are looking for but I personally prefer "on-ear" as opposed to "in-ear" earphones or "over ear" headphones and I also wanted to use them for travelling.
I was thinking about getting "Premiership footballer preferred Beats" (by Dr. Dre) as they seemed to be a popular choice and are seen every Sunday at 4PM on SKY Sports as the teams enter the ground but I soon realised that all that glitters isn't gold, and that it depends whether you are seeking "fashion" or "quality".
I tried the BOSE OE2i in Currys and decided to go for them.
I ordered them on Thursday at 4PM via Amazon and they arrived 11AM Friday - a great service.
I have used them over the weekend for music and films on an Apple IPOD Classic 160GB and found them to be absolutely fantastic, and watching a movie is just like being in a cinema for the sound effects.
I am not a headphone expert by any means but I know enough - but if you are looking for a high quality sound and something compact for travelling then the OE2i is the product to choose.
