I actually have the AKE35 but noticed that not only does it seem to be more difficult to get chains for it, but they are also more expensive than the 40.
I checked the motor spec etc, and noticed that its exactly the same for the AKE35 and the AKE40 so I ordered this kit and converted my chain saw to the longer blade model. Now when I have to renew the chain it will be easier and quicker as I have the choice of two lengths of blade. Obviously you need to change the bars to suit the chain.

If you purchased this product around 2007 and need a replacement bar then be aware that the product has changed but the description has not. Consequrntly you could end up ordering a bar for a AKE 40 18s which does not fit your AKE 40 18s ! Bosch are replacing my bar but the product needs relabeling.
