Am a big fan of Bosch appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, iron) so thought that kettle would be of similar standard. First bought the black kettle. Boil time was fairly slow compared to previous fast boil kettle, and if more than half full water leaked out below handle. After 6 months the base stopped working. Returned to Bosch and they replaced with a white one, which looks a little dated compared to the black. Another 6 months down the line and the white one is very slow to boil, water leaks out below handle and when pouring the boiling water goes everywhere. I won't be replacing with a Bosch.

I bought this kettle believing that being German it would work well. However 5 months down the line if this kettle is filled over half full it leaks and the leak quickly builds up a calcium deposit which cannot be removed.
It's very poor, and just what others have experienced. You have been warned!

Bought this kettle in December 2008 primarily because I'm a Bosch fan. Five months later there was a flash and a bang from the base and all the kitchen sockets tripped. Strong smell of a flashover.
Phoned Amazon on freephone number and received a prepaid return address label by email in minutes. Well done Amazon, shame on Bosch.
