The Bosch Rotak 37 Li cordless rotary lawn mower comes with a powerful 36 volt/2.6Ah Lithium-ion battery with advanced electronics to enable a constant blade speed in all grass conditions. | Features of the Bosch Rotak 37 Li Efficient Energy Management (EEM) EEM increases the run time of the Rotak 37 Li by 10%-20%. The EEM has two functions. Firstly, intelligent cutting electronics maintain the blade rotation at an optimum constant speed; this smoothes out the ‘load’ requirement and saves energy. Secondly, the kinetic energy recovery system harnesses the energy generated by the blade run-down and feeds it back into the mower battery as soon as the motor has been switched off. |

If it’s too wet, too long or covers a large area, this will affect the running time of the battery, but in ideal conditions where the grass is short, fine and dry, running times could be up to 30 minutes. The Rotak 37 Li’s 36V/2.6Ah Lithium-ion battery should give 500-700 cycles of life, which should be anywhere between 5 to 10 years of regular usage. |  |

Bought to replace a cordless mower that was not powerful enough,thought long and hard about the Bosch as there are cheaper alternatives out there however bought it on the basis of the Lithium technology and it has proved to be an excellent buy.Cuts both my front and back lawns on a sinle charge and due to the battery size is very light to carry and manouvere,the charge time is exceptional and the grass box is a decent size as well.It feels a little "plasticky" but so far it has stood up very well.I like the Li battery technology that i have now added the Bosch Li strimmer i yhink its orth the extra outlay.

I have to admit to being a bit of a petrol head with the mowers that I have bought previously. I hate the hastle of an electric cable twisting up as you traverse and rotate around the lawn. So petrol was the solution, until now.
The lithium batteries in this LI37 Bosch lawnmower change the rules. No more trips to the petrol station on a Sunday morning. No more back strain trying to get the thing to start. Press one safety button and then the drive bar and your away. I have found the 'Lawn mowing experence' at bit different, no longer do I feel the alpha male taming the envronment!! I feel more like I am pushing a pram or a vacuum cleaner so light and convenient is this machine. I have to keep reminding myself we are in the 21st Century and this is a machine from the Jetson's. I guess that reference ages me. I did not pick up from the advertising that this machine does have a back roller and creates a reasonable stripe effect, but it does. And for some reason I thought it had a spare battery, but it does not. So if you fancy 21st century convenience rather than 20th century grunt this is the machine for you 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful
I have had mine for nearly 2 years,well 2 seasons after giving up with petrol mowers refusing to work in the spring,even when drained and dry stored. Bought a re-furb/return one a lot cheaper with just one battery which just about does my lawn in one.If it does run out of juice put it on the charger,have a cup of tea,and it will then finish the last few minutes of cutting.
Lot less hassle than a corded one,no petrol to buy,and mine is free to use as i charge it with my PV solar panels on the roof of my house!! Have a full set of Makita powertools that use Lithium batterys,great as they dont memorise and seem to last well. Very light and easy to use,only critisism is that the plastics are a bit flimsy,and i have managed to break the battery cover lid hinge with a clout to a tree,but all goes ok.
