The PFS 65 Spray System can be used both on indoor and outdoor surfaces easily and quickly--even DIYers with little previous experience of spraying can achieve professional results.
Over-The-Shoulder Unit for Spraying Medium to Large Objects
The portable PFS 65 spray system offers precise and constant spraying with the highest flexibility for medium to large objects. You can hang the tool over your shoulder, making it easy to move around quickly. An air jacket perfectly focuses the paint mist when spraying, which means you use up to 15 per cent less paint. Moreover, the air jet speeds up the drying of paint, so that hardly any tears occur; and a second coat of paint can be instantly sprayed over the first coat. Even a beginner can achieve perfect results straight away.

I used this to paint the entire ceiling of my panneled basement, and am now using to paint the outside of my house. After only getting about a quarter of it done one evening, I went out, bought this and finished it off the next - loads faster.
I'd argue that it does take some getting used.
The video shows people applying the paint slowly. I found that this put too much paint on, and it began to drip. Personally I found it easier to paint surfaces with quick strokes, but go over the same area twice, being careful not to dwell.
Also, to get into the edges of the grooves (of the panel), I went at a 45 degree angle one way, then 45 degree the other.
I had to water down the oil based paint I was using. This is a messy job, and also cleaning the unit after every use (filling the container with white spirit, a couple of times, spraying through, and brushing and cleaning the gun), about 20mins, so I'd argue its only useful for big jobs.
To tape or not to tape? If you are going to paint within 50cms of another object then you need to tape it over (or use a staple machine and staple up some heavy paper as I think this goes faster). It depends on how different the other thing is to what you are painting (white and cream is fine, white and brown is not). If you aren't careful, you will soon end up with fine dots over lots of your surfaces.
If you use it with oil paints in doors, then buy a proper face mask (respirator). I used one and couldn't even smell the paint.

Bought this spray gun about a month ago when I was decorating my sons room. I can imagine it will be good if you are trying to spray small objects with extremely watery paint.... I had to dilute tin of dulux paint, which took me about 3 hours (as the mixture should be very consistent to prevent clogging) and plus the fact I ended up with completely different shade! The coverage is good but VERY-VERY SLOW... you need to have a nerves of saint to cope with this machine. IN the end, I ditched it and finished off the job with good old roller and brush! No way it would cope with non water based paints! Overall, for me it was just a waist of money!

I bought this product recently to paint 2 interior doors as I hate painting! I took the doors off and sprayed them in the garage. They originally had a wax finish and the first coat looked watery and splattery. I was using standard oil based paint and thinning it with white spirit. I wasn't sure if I had thinned it too much or was spraying too thickly. The instructions say to thin with 10% of thinner but I found that I was using over double this (not an issue with the product, just depends on your paint). I kept spraying multiple thin coats with the spray on the very lowest setting. The paint said it took 16 hours to dry but I was reapplying after 30 mins as you are not using a brush you don't drag the tacky paint back off. In one afternoon I had completed both doors with an excellent finish. I have since used it to spray a wall in my garden using Sandex exterior paint. This was water based so I mixed it with water at around 70/30. The whole job took around 1 hour for the 4 x 2 metre wall and dried in minutes which was lucky as it started raining almost immediately!
Overall I am very glad of my purchase and although it seems that you are doing more preparation and cleaning it's really no more than brushes and rollers and the paint goes further as you are not putting it on as thick, plus it makes painting fun :)

Easy,convinient and effective spray system

Great product from Bosch
The Bosch PSF 65 is a great all rounder. I had an old style pebble dashed bungalow to paint and it was great. Turn the power down and do the edges with ease. Easy to clean also. Read more
